Chairman's Report for the 16th Annual Delegates Meeting
The Provincial Co-operative Officer, the District Co-operative Officers, Invited guests, Fellow Board Members, Delegates, Ladies and Gentlemen: I take this opportunity to welcome you all to this year’s Annual Delegates Meeting. It is a great pleasure for me to be with you on this special occasion and to preside over the 16th Annual Delegates Meeting of our society.
The society was established to promote the welfare and economic interests of its members in accordance with the co-operative principles of voluntary and open membership, democratic member control, member economic participation, autonomy and independence, promotion of education, read more..
The members are required to have the minimum share capital of Kes. 20,000. This share capital is not refundable but is transferable once a member wants to leave the Sacco.
The member must have the required share deposits which are multiplied three times for one to qualify for a loan.
The member requires to provide guarantorship on the loan applied. The Sacco may also request for additional security/collateral based on the amount applied.
The member should attach the following documents on application:
Share Capital represents a member’s ownership in the Sacco.
Each member is required to have a Share Capital account which is opened when one is admitted as a member.
Currently the minimum share capital is Kes. 20,000.
The share capital is not refundable but the member can transfer the shares to another member when leaving membership of the society.
Shares will earn dividends paid from net surplus every year.
Requirements for Membership
Fill and complete membership application form.
Attach two recent passport size photographs
Attach a copy of your national identity card/passport
Attach ksh.500 non refundable joining fee for new members; the said registration fee can also be deducted from the payslip on first contribution.
Upon withdrawal and member wishes to rejoin the Sacco, he can do so upon payment of rejoining fee of ksh 1,500.
